According to several news sources, a female magician taking part in a new VH1 series was the victim of an attempted rape during filming, according to reports.
A group of magicians were staying at the Magic Castle Hotel in Hollywood beside the private Magic Castle club - when a the woman was attacked by an intruder, according to TMZ.com.
Police say the suspect entered the victim’s hotel room at 5:35am on Wednesday morning, before forcing himself on top of her and covering her mouth.
However, the victim managed to overpower the suspect, and he fled leaving his cell phone at the scene, leading cops to find him in a nearby park where he was apprehended.
The victim has now pulled out of the show and the remaining cast and crew have moved out of the Magic Castle Hotel.

Police tell TMZ that yesterday at 5:35 AM, the suspect entered the victim's room, jumped on top of her and covered her mouth. The victim fought off the suspect and he lost his cellphone in the scuffle. The police came, took the cellphone and used it as a ruse to lure him to a nearby park where he was popped.
