Leach: Criss Angel Nearly Killed in Stunt |
|
|
|
Robin Leach is becoming the de facto Criss Angel biographer.
Their paths cross more often than simultaneous field sobriety test subjects.
We don't look to Mr. Leach for the hard-hitting Mike Wallace type of news. Nay, Mr. Leach's style is to celebrate with and for the celebrity subject. The news won't contradict public relations efforts -- but it will often scoop press releases and public announcements. A case in point: Mr. Leach had confirmation of Mr. Angel's deal to produce a multi-million dollar magic show at the Luxor in partnership with Cirque du Soleil. As far as we know, this has yet to be formally confirmed by any of the parties.
Read today's nuggets of magic news you won't find anywhere else on Mr. Leach's web page here. And that's fine with us here at Quinlan's Inside Magic.
Whilst at ex-Motley Crew member Vince Neil's surprise birthday party, Mr. Leach happened to engage Criss Angel in a short chat.
The magician confided he was nearly killed just days earlier when attempting to perform a "Houdini-styled stunt by lying over glass when [a heavy duty construction vehicle] moves forward. His TV cameras recorded the fantastic feat at the weekend in a Luxor parking lot." Mr. Angel intends to show the effect and possibly expose its secret in the next season of Mind Freak on the A & E Network.
"The 10 ton steamroller somehow rolls right over Criss, all the way up to his neck and chin! But before it can crush his face, as he stares right into the jaws of definite death, he vanishes!"
According to Mr. Leach, "There has never been an illusion like this before in magic history and it's so phenomenal Criss will be hailed as magic's 21st century Houdini!"
Was it dangerous or risky?
According to the Criss Leach team, "If they'd been a millimeter out of synch it would have been certain disaster. It just doesn't get anymore dangerous than this."
We are looking forward to the new season with both anticipation and anxiety.
Be careful out there, Criss. - Provided by InsideMagic |
